How to purchase a pass:

If you are interested in purchasing a punch pass, you can call the ice arena, the community center, or come in to either facility (for contact information please see the home page). If you have done something through the city of Ames before (such as a pool pass or a recreational class), you will give whoever is helping you your last name, and then your first. Then let them know which pass you would like and what first name you would like it under. If you are making a purchase through the city for the first time, we will create you a family account and then proceed with the above process.

How to use a pass:

Bring the key fob we provide you with to the ice arena during a time for your specific pass and we will scan it for as many people you need. Passes are allowed to be used on more than one person, so if you bring a visitor you can swipe your card twice for the two admissions (or skate rentals). If you happen to forget your fob, you may give the cashier your last name and then your first and your pass can be used that way as well. Adult public skate passes can be used for a youth admission, but a youth may not be used on an adult admission.
